3 lb. sweet potatoes
2 c. of dark syrup
1/2 c. corn meal
1 c. sugar
3-4 eggs
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 lb. butter

Cut, wash and grate sweet potatoes. Add all other ingredients. Put in large loaf pan greased lightly. Bake at 275 degrees, stir every 15 minutes. Let brown. Cooking time about 1 hour.
