CINNAMON ROLLS | |
2 c. milk 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 2 eggs 4 1/2 c. self-rising flour 1 pkg. yeast Bring to a boil the milk, shortening and sugar. Let cool. When lukewarm, add flour and yeast. Mix well. Let rise until double in size. Take out and knead. Roll out dough in oblong shape. Cover the surface with melted butter, then cover with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll from bottom and cut into slices. Place on greased baking sheet and bake. I sprinkle a little sugar and butter on top before I put in to bake. |
