MOM'S GLUCOSE TAFFY 
3 c. white sugar
2 c. white syrup
1 pt. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. (rounded) shaved paraffin
1 tsp. gelatin dissolved in 3 tbsp. warm water

Combine and cook all ingredients except flavoring until mixture crackles against the side of a cup when tested in cold water. Pour in lightly buttered pan. Add flavoring to top of mixture. DO NOT STIR. Place pan of taffy outside (or where cold) until you can handle the taffy without burning hands. DO NOT STIR.
