TEA TIME TAFFIES 
Blend together:

1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 c. butter (room temperature)

Stir in 1 cup sifted flour. Chill 1 hour. Shape into 2 dozen 1 inch balls. Place in 1 3/4 inch muffin pans and press down with thumb to shape.

FILLING:

Beat:

1 egg with
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt

Add 2/3 cup pecans. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. These freeze well.
