BREAD PUDDING WITH APPLES 
6 slices stale bread torn in pieces
3/4 c. raisins
2 sm. apples, sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. milk

Grease a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Put bread pieces, apple and raisins in and toss well. Combine sugar, salt and cinnamon and mix into bread. Dot with butter. Beat eggs and milk and pour over the bread mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until cooked. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or cold with whipped cream. Donuts, chocolate or plain, or 1/2 raisin bread 1/2 white, can be used in place of some of the bread.
