HOT BACON DRESSING 
1 1/2 c. chopped onions
1 3/4 c. diced bacon
2 1/2 c. cold water
3/4 c. vinegar
4 tbsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

In a frying pan cook onions and bacon until soft. In a pot combine water, vinegar, lemon juice, cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Add onions and bacon. Remove from heat. Serve immediately. Yields 1 quart.
