APPLE WALNUT RING CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. apples, chopped
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after addition. Sift flour, baking soda, salt, and spices; add gradually. Stir in vanilla, apples, and nuts. Batter will be stiff. Spoon into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes in pan then remove. Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting.
