FIRE AND ICE TOMATOES 
6 lg. tomatoes, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
1 Maui onion, sliced
3/4 c. white vinegar or any vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. celery salt
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. salt
4 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. water

Separate onion slices into rings. Layer onions, tomatoes and green peppers in shallow glass casserole dish. Combine vinegar, seasoning and water. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Pour over vegetables and chill. Serve with cucumber slices if desired.
