3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 1/3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs

Melt chocolate, 1-2 minutes in microwave. Mix flour with 4 ingredients. Stir butter just to soften. Add flour mixture, milk eggs and chocolate. Blend then beat at medium speed of mixer for 3 minutes, scraping bowl frequently.

Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove from pans and finish cooling on racks.
