1 1/2 c. peanut butter 1 c. Karo syrup (white) 1 c. sugar 6 c. Special K cereal FROSTING: 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. butterscotch chips In a large saucepan, heat Karo syrup and sugar together, stirring constantly. Once mixture comes to a rolling boil, remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until smooth. Fold in Special K. Press into a buttered 9 x 12 inch pan. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together. Spread over bars. Let chill to at least room temperature (until frosting is set). Tip: When cutting bars, pop uncut bars out of panlike an ice cube and cut on cutting board with large knife. |
