SPECIAL K BARS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
2 1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
12 c. Special K cereal
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. butterscotch chips

Combine sugar and syrup in large pan and heat to dissolve. Do not boil. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Grease bottom of 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Slightly crush Special K and layer cereal with syrup mixture in jelly roll pan. Stir until well mixed. Press firmly into pan. Top with chips. Place under broiler just until chips are shiny and softened. Spread to frost bars. Allow to cool. Cut into squares and enjoy!
