GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. real bacon pieces
1/2 c. sliced green onions (and tops)
1/3 c. diced green peppers
1/3 c. diced celery
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. beef broth
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. sugar
6 red potatoes, cooked and cubed

Saute onions, green pepper, and celery in butter until soft. Add broth. Combine cornstarch, vinegar, water, and sugar in shaker and shake. Add to vegetables and broth. Add bacon pieces and heat until thickened. Add potatoes and stir. Salt and pepper to taste. Heat through and serve. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
