GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
5 lb. red potatoes
1/2 lb. bacon
6 tbsp. white vinegar
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tbsp. salad oil
1 sm. onion

Cook peel and slice potatoes thin. Let cool, add salt and pepper add salad oil set aside.

Fry diced onion light brown in 2 tablespoons of oil, add flour mix well. Add water, vinegar, sugar make a light smooth sauce. Let cook 10 to 15 minutes. Pour over sliced potatoes and mix well.

Fry bacon crisp drain and add to potatoes. Serve warm.
