BAKLAVA 
1 lb. phyllo dough
1 c. finely chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans or pistachio)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. honey, heated
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. cardamom
Whole cloves

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

1. Cut phyllo dough in 1/2 and trim to fit 9 x 12 inch aluminum pan that has been greased.

2. Combine nuts with spices.

3. Layer dough: 7 sheets, brush with melted butter, then 1/4 of nut mixture, then 2 sheets, with butter and 1/4 mixture, repeat twice more and end with 7 layers on top. SPRINKLE WATER ON TOP. Cut in diamond shape and place whole clove on each piece. Bake 1 hour. Pour heated honey over the top immediately after removing from the oven.
