EGG SOUFFLE 
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 lbs. sausage or 1 c. chopped ham
4 eggs
8 slices bread
8 slices cheese

Layer the bottom of an oblong baking dish with 4 slices bread (buttered), buttered side down. Place slice of cheese on each slice of bread. Sprinkle cooked and drained sausage or ham over cheese. Cover with another slice of buttered bread, buttered side up. Cover with slice of cheese, sprinkle remaining sausage. Beat eggs and add milk with salt. Pour over bread mixture and let stand overnight. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for 1 hour. Check time according to your oven.
