SWEET DOUGH | |
2 c. flour 2 pkg. dry yeast, and kind or type 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 stick butter 1 1/2 c. hot tap water 2 eggs 1 more cup flour Flour to total 5 to 6 cups Use one bowl and electric mixer. Combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Add the butter. Mix slightly. Add the hot tap water, not boiling or it will kill the yeast. Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and 1 cup flour. Beat. Gradually add by hand enough flour to total 5 to 6 cups, overall. To knead, use your mixer dough hook or knead by hand until smooth. Cover with oiled paper. Let rest for 20 minutes. Shape into desired rolls, etc. Place in pans and cover. Put in refrigerator 2 to 24 hours. After bringing from refrigerator, let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until double in size. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on kind and shape of rolls. |
