MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
12 c. (3 quarts) popped popcorn
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and butter in a deep microwave safe bowl. Cook 2 minutes, then stir and cook 2 minutes longer.

Stir in baking soda, then pour over popcorn, which has been placed in a brown paper bag that has been prepared with non-stick cooking spray.

Place in microwave and cook for 1 1/2 minute, shake. Cook another 1 1/2 minute, shake and pour out on cookie sheet to cool. Nuts may be added to the popcorn, if desired.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
