CORNBREAD BREAKFAST CAKE 
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco shortening, melted
2 c. milk
2 tsp. vinegar
2 c. cornmeal
2 c. flour
1 lg. tsp. baking powder

Grease and flour 9"x13" baking dish. Combine eggs, sugar and melted shortening. Mix together milk and vinegar, then add to combined mixture along with cornmeal, flour and baking powder. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve hot with butter and maple syrup (optional).
