CANNED APPLE PIE 
CANNED APPLES:

2 gallons tree apples, sliced
1 c. sugar

PIE:

1 qt. apples, canned
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. butter

CRUST:

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
3/4 c. shortening

In Fall: Slice 2 gallons tart tree apples in salt water. Drain apples and sprinkle 1 cup sugar. Let set overnight. In morning put in quart jars and process in hot bath 10 minutes. Put away until ready to use.

Pie: Mix 1 quart apples, sugar mixed with cinnamon and flour. Put in pie crust. Dab butter on top. Cover with top crust and bake in 375 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes.

Crust; Combine flour, salt and shortening together using pie cutter until mixture is in pea sized pieces. Add water and mix in a ball. Use 1/2 to roll bottom crust on floured surface. Use other half for top crust.
