COTTAGE CHEESE PASTRY 
1/4 lb. (1/2 c.) creamed cottage cheese
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Pinch ginger

FILLING:

3 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped nuts
Cinnamon

Place flour and salt in bowl; cut in butter; stir in cheese and ginger, rolling into ball. Refrigerate overnight.

Remove 1/2 of dough - roll into small round shape and size of pie crust. Brush with 1/2 of butter (see filling) and 1/2 of sugar and nuts (see filling). Add cinnamon to taste. Cut into wedges 1 1/2 inches wide. Roll from outside to center to form crescents. Place on cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg. Bake 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Repeat with remaining dough.
