ALMOND FLOAT 
1 env. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. almond extract
1 can mandarin oranges, drained

Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup water. Heat milk, 1 cup water, and sugar to just below boiling point. Add gelatin and stir until mixed; cool. Add almond flavoring. Put in 9 x 13 inch dish and refrigerate. To serve, slice in small squares, 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch, and remove with pancake turner. Put in small bowls with oranges on top. Serves 4.
