SPIRAL HERB BREAD 
1 loaf (1 lb.) frozen white bread dough
1 tsp. salad oil

HERB FILLING:

1 tbsp. butter
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 1/2 c. chopped parsley
1/3 c. chopped green onions
1 tbsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten

Brush all sides of bread with oil. Thaw and let rise as directed on package.

Herb Filling: Melt butter. Add garlic, saute 1 minute. Add parsley, green onions, salt, pepper and oregano. Cook 3 minutes until tender. Cool. Stir in cheese and all but 1 tablespoon egg (reserve rest for bread).

Grease 9 x 5 inch loaf pan, set aside. Punch dough down and turn onto lightly floured surface, let rise 5 minutes. Roll into 14 x 9 inch rectangle. Brush dough with reserved egg and spread herb filling to within 1 inch of edges. Roll up from 9 inch side, pinch edges to seal. Place in pan, brush with egg. Bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool on rack. May be wrapped and frozen for 1 month. 100 calories per slice - 16 slices.
