COCONUT POUND CAKE 
Cake:

1 c. oil
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. self rising flour
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 (6 oz.) bag of frozen coconut

Cream together oil, sugar, and eggs. Sift flour into this and add buttermilk, coconut flavoring and coconut. Cook 1 hour at 325 degrees. Cool for 20 minutes.

Syrup:

2 c. sugar
3 tsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavor
1 c. water
2 tsp. Karo

Mix ingredients together. Cool for 5 minutes. Pour syrup over cake. Let stand in pan for 2 hours.
