1/4 c. chopped onions
6 tbsp. butter, divided
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. water
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen chopped broccoli
1 (8 oz.) jar Cheese Whiz
1/2 to 1 c. grated cheddar cheese
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. cracker crumbs

Saute onion in 4 tablespoons butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Stir in flour and add water. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Cook broccoli according to package directions, drain well. Add broccoli and both cheeses to sauce mixture. Add well beaten eggs. Pour mixture into flat or oblong baking dish buttered with 1 tablespoon butter. Use remaining butter to butter cracker crumbs used for topping. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
