APRICOT SLICES DOUGH 
1 cake yeast
1 egg yolk
3 tbsp. milk or cream
3/4 lb. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
4 to 6 c. flour

Combine flour, salt and shortening. In center of dough add egg, sugar, and milk. Break yeast into mixture. Mix thoroughly and knead. Divide into 2 and let stand 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees until done.

APRICOT FILLING:

1 lb. apricots
Salt
2 c. water
Sugar to taste
1 egg white
Nutmeats
Lemon juice

Combine all ingredients except nutmeats and boil until cooked. Spread betwen dough and bake with nutmeats on top.
