DAB OF DOUGH COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. baking soda in 1/4 c. warm water
3 well beaten eggs
3 c. flour

FILLING:

1 lb. dates
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar

Boil and cool filling ingredients. Take dab of dough, about a tablespoon full, drop on cookie sheet and dent in center. Put in a small dab of date filling and dab of dough on top. Bake at 300 degrees.
