MIXED NUT BARS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix like pie crust. Put into 9 x 13 inch buttered pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile heat oven medium heat until smooth (a double boiler will prevent scotch) : 1/2 c. white Karo syrup 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. water

When melted and smooth, spread over baked crust. Sprinkle 1 (12-13 oz.) can mixed nuts over mixture. Bake again at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until bubbly. Do not over bake. They may seem runny at first, but firm on cooking. Cut into bars. Serves 60.
