GRAM'S APPLE CRUMB CAKE 
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. sliced apples

Mix first 6 cake ingredients together well. Fold in apples. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch pan.

CRUMBS:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. melted butter

To prepare crumb topping add first 4 crumb ingredients together in bowl, then add small amounts of butter to make crumbly. Sprinkle on top of cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 3/4 hour. (Can substitute apples with blueberries or peaches).

I usually make my apple cake without a crumb topping, but I wanted to give this recipe a try. SO glad I did! Similar to mine, but fluffier. We served with vanilla ice cream. YUMM-O!

Suggestion- use a metal pan - used a glass casserole dish and went maybe 5 min over the time - 50 min at 350°F and it exploded as soon as I took it out of the oven. Glass everywhere- so disappointed... going to try again tomorrow. It sure looked like it would've been delicious!
