CONEY ISLAND HOT DOG SAUCE 
1/2 lb. ground beef, broken up finely
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 tsp. salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. chili powder

Mix ground beef, onion, and minced garlic in frying pan and brown. Drain off grease. Then add tomato sauce, water, pepper, chili powder, and salt. Simmer until thoroughly heated. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
