BACON TIDBITS 
2 cans water chestnuts, whole
1 lb. maple flavored bacon, swift
Soy sauce
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. half and half

Cut bacon in half and wrap a piece around each chestnut. Secure with toothpick. Place in shallow pyrex pan. Sprinkle generously with soy sauce. Marinate several hours or overnight, turning occasionally. Place on foil lined cookie sheet and bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until bacon is done. Melt brown sugar, butter and cream. Pour over tidbits in chafing dish or serve on the side.
