FRIED APPLES 
5 lg. apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter

Peel and core apples; cut into 1 inch wedges. In pie plate, stir sugar with salt; dip apple wedges in mixture, turning to coat all sides.

In large skillet over medium to low heat, melt butter. Add apples and cook, partially covered, 15 minutes or until fork tender, carefully turning apples occasionally with pancake turner. Makes 12 servings.
