GOLDEN APPLE TORTE 
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. golden delicious apples, grated
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. walnuts, chopped (to top lemon glaze)

Sift together flour, soda and cinnamon. Combine oil and sugar. Add half dry ingredients, mixing well. Blend in apples, pineapple, 1/2 cup walnuts and vanilla. Add remaining dry ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Turn into 3 quart Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out. When cool, drizzle with Lemon Glaze and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.

LEMON GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. lemon peel, grated
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 tbsp. hot water

Combine all ingredients and stir until smooth.
