1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. instant nonfat dry milk
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt

Stir ingredients together three times. Store in a tightly covered container in a cool place.

Variations: Caramel pudding mix - use 1 1/2 cups brown sugar in place of granulated sugar. Makes 5 cups mix. Chocolate pudding mix - add 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa to the vanilla mix. Makes 5 cups mix.

PUDDING:

Use pudding mix. Chocolate, caramel, or vanilla pudding, 3 servings, about 1/2 cup each.

2/3 c. pudding mix
1 3/4 c. warm milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Add 2 drops food coloring (if desired)

Stir pudding mix into the milk in a saucepan; cook and stir constantly until mixture bubbles throughout. Reduce heat and cook over low heat for 1 minute longer. Add the butter. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Chill before serving.
