ROSETTES 
1 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar
Salad oil for frying
Rosette Iron

1. Sift flour with salt and cornstarch.

2. In medium bowl, beat egg, milk, sugar and vanilla.

3. Then beat in flour mixture until smooth.

4. Heat oil (2 inches deep) to 385 degrees.

5. Heat iron in oil - 30 seconds and shake off excess.

6. Dip 3/4 way up in batter. Leave in 1/2 minute.

7. Immerse completely in oil. Cook 1 minute each side. Drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
