2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. Corn Flakes
3/4 c. shortening
1/3 c. maraschino cherries
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 c. dates

Combine shortening, sugar and cream well. Add eggs, milk, vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Mix well and shape into balls. Roll each ball in corn flakes. Place on greased cookie sheet. Top with 1/2 maraschino cherries. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
