TEXAS HASH 
2 large onions, sliced
3 tbsp. fat or oil
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 bell peppers, cut fine
1 lb. hamburger meat
3/4 c. uncooked rice
2 tsp. salt

Cook onions and pepper slowly in hot oil until onions are transparent. Add hamburger and fry, stirring constantly, until mixture falls apart. Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings; mix well. Put in large greased casserole; cover and bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
