1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
7 tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. hot water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, melted butter and vanilla. Pour into square baking pan.

In another bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle on top of pan mixture. Pour water on top of cake. Bake for 40 minutes or until center is set. Let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into dessert dishes. Garnish with whipped cream.
