SHARON'S TACO SALAD DIP 
1 (32 oz.) can refried beans
1 (32 oz.) container sour cream
24 slices Velveeta cheese, it melts better
1 lg. jar salsa, med. or hot
1/2 head lettuce, shredded
2 med. tomatoes, diced

1. Spray large baking pan lightly with cooking spray.

2. Using a plastic or rubber spatula, spread refried beans in pan.

3. Cover with 12 slices of Velveeta cheese.

4. Cover cheese with shredded lettuce.

5. Cover lettuce with diced tomatoes.

6. Cover tomatoes with salsa.

7. Cover salsa with remaining cheese.

Bake in 400 degree oven until cheese is melted. Be careful not to scorch! Remove and allow to cool slightly, 5 to 8 minutes. Cover with sour cream. Garnish with chives or chopped green onions. Great with round tortilla chips!

Can also be made with ground beef (cooked). Spread over first layer of cheese then continue.
