NORWEGIAN COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 tbsp. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
3 eggs
Powdered sugar icing with almond flavoring
Nuts
Maraschino cherries

Mix first 4 ingredients as for pie crust. Pat onto cookie sheet. Bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup flour; stir until it forms a ball. Add eggs, 1 at a time, stirring after each.

Spread on crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Ice while warm. Decorate with chopped nuts and cherries. Cut into bars.
