I followed directions exactly as written and they turned out and they were ok....can't quite put my finger on what it needs but when we were snowed in and with what we had in the cupboards-it worked!

I thought they were awesome! I omitted the nuts and added some extra chocolate chips instead and they were just the right amount of chocolatey, chewy, crispy top layer that you want with a brownie. YUM.

Baked brownies and they were wonderful, not too rich, had a nice light flaky coating on top. Two more batches and a bit dry without flaky top. Can't figure what I did wrong. Cooking time and oven temp. were the same, any ideas?

OH MY GOSH. I have never had such amazing brownies. The ONLY thing I did differently was use Hersheys Special Dark Chocolate Chips, sooooooooooooooo good. My family is in love. I am going to have to make another batch tomorrow so that everyone gets enough.
