CRANBERRY SALAD 
1 (1 lb.) can whole cranberry sauce
1 (3 oz.) pkg. red, yellow or orange Jello
1 c. boiling water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 apple or orange, peeled and diced
1/4 c. chopped nuts
Cool Whip (optional)

Heat sauce, strain and set berries aside.

Dissolve Jello in hot juice and water. Add salt and lemon juice. Chill until thickened.

Beat in mayonnaise until light and fluffy. Add cranberries, fruit and nuts. Chill until firm.

For fluffy type salad, may add 8 ounce of Cool Whip after adding fruit and nuts before chilling.
