1/2 c. salt
1 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Food coloring

Mix salt, flour and cream of tartar in large kettle. Add water and vegetable oil. Stir until well blended. Stir in a few drops of food coloring until mixture is the color you want. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture gets rubbery. Turn dough onto table and knead with palms of hands. Store in a covered container.
