THE "BEST" BLUEBERRY PIE | |
1 (9-inch) deep dish pie shell, baked 4 c. fresh blueberries 1 c. sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. butter Wash berries and pat dry between paper towels. Line shell with 3 cups berries. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water with remaining berries in saucepan; cook gently until thick. Remove from heat; add butter and stir. Cool slightly and pour over berries in shell. Chill for several hours or overnight. |
