DIVINITY CANDY | |
3 c. sugar 1/2 c. light corn syrup 2/3 c. water 2 egg whites 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts Boil sugar, corn syrup, salt and water together until it will form a hard ball when dropped in cold water. While syrup is boiling, beat egg whites until stiff. Pour syrup slow into egg whites while mixer is beating; add vanilla. Beat until mixture thickens and passes glossy stage. Stir in nuts with spoon. Drop by spoonfuls on greased plate or on wax paper. |
