MIDDLE - EASTERN STYLE BEEF | |
1 lb. lean round steak, cut into strips 1 sm. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. butter 1 can (13 3/4 oz.) beef broth 1 pkg. frozen mixed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, thawed 1/4 c. golden raisins 1 tsp. BLAIR lemon flavoring 2 tbsp. white vinegar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. BLAIR cinnamon 1 1/2 c. quick cooking rice 1/2 c. sliced almonds Brown beef and onion in hot butter in large skillet. Add broth, vegetables, raisins, flavorings, vinegar, salt and cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice and almonds. Cover, remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Makes 4 servings. |
