STUFFED FRENCH TOAST 
8 slices bread or 1 challah (day old), sliced thick
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese or neufchatel cheese
1 dozen eggs
1/3 c. maple syrup
2 c. milk
1 can Mandarin oranges, optional
1/2 c. chopped walnut, optional

Place 1/2 bread in ungreased 9 x 13 casserole.

Cube cheese, place on top of bread.

Place remaining bread on top.

Mix eggs with syrup and milk, pour over bread.

Refrigerate covered overnight.

Optional: Add Mandarin oranges and nuts on top.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.

Serve with sausage and warm syrup. Serves 8.
