PORK CHOPS IN APPLE CREAM SAUCE
6 lg. pork chops
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. water
2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Salt to taste
1/2 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. minced parsley, optional

Brown pork chops in large frying pan. When brown, remove chops and trim off excess fat. Add the chopped onion to the fat in the pan and saute 3 to 4 minutes until soft. Add the water and deglaze the pan, stirring in all the brown bits. Remove from the heat and stir in the applesauce, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Return the chops to the pan coating them with the sauce mixture. Cover and cook slowly about 40 minutes until chops are tender and flavors are well blended.

Remove chops to a serving dish, add 1/2 cup sour cream to the pan, mix well, heat and pour sauce over chops. Sprinkle with minced parsley. Serves 6.
