TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
Sift and set aside:

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

In a saucepan, bring to a boil:

2 sticks butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa

Stir well. Then add to dry mixture. Mix by hand.

Add the following to the above mixture. Mix by hand.

2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk (or sour cream)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour into a well greased 11x16x1 jelly roll pan or a big cookie sheet with sides. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

FROSTING:

Boil:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa

Remove from heat and beat with electric mixer, adding:

1 box confectioners' sugar (1 lb. box = 4 c.)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Pour frosting over warm cake. DO NOT LET FROSTING SET. IT WILL HARDEN!!
