SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 c. sugar 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda Cream together butter, eggs, and sugar. Add sour cream, vanilla, and almond extract. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Pour in half batter, then filling (see below), and then half batter. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes in bundt pan (hole in middle). FILLING: 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. melted butter 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) |
