I just took the batch out of the oven, cooled a bit and tasted. Very nice. I reduced the butter by 1 tbsp. per batch, used pecans and butterscotch chips, and sprinkled the top with more pecans, more chips and a 1/4 teaspoon sea salt. I made a double batch in a 1/2 sheet baking pan 13x18-inch. I used one box of yellow cake mix and one box of butter pecan cake mix.

I used a devils food cake mix, walnuts, 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 butterscotch chips. Delicious! I did spray and dust the bottom of the pan, wasn't sure if I was to follow the box mix directions (recipe didn't say). I'm afraid they may stick if you don't do this. I topped them with a few mini chocolate chips and small pieces of walnuts. Yummy :D

I used Duncan Hines Golden Yellow cake mix, and followed the recipe. I added walnuts and semi-sweet morsels. I dusted the top with powdered sugar as it was cooling. I served these for a party and received many compliments. I found them to be very tasty but a little dry.
